3D Printing

We make strong and functional prototypes thanks to the very best 3D printing technologies:
Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) for design quality and mechanical performance;
Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) for greater strength and lower cost;
Stereolithography (SLA) both for surface finishes and for making silicone matrix moulds.

Prototype

We make the prototype product according to your requirements so that we give you a dimensionally correct object that is usable for implementing moulds or for dimensional checks.

Functional prototype

Thanks to the CFF and MJF technology we can provide high performance prototypes already usable in situations of stress equivalent or similar to those designed for the piece.

Small production lots

Utilising the different printers available it is possible to order a quantity of pieces equal to one or more so as to provide small production lots.

Medium production lots

Utilising the different printers available it is possible to order a quantity of pieces equal to one or more so as to provide medium production lots.

CAD design

The department offers a design and re-design service for 3D printing. If the client has no printable digital file available we can create one in line with the specifications the client provides. We follow a detailed analysis of the design, development and workings of the model created.

Reverse engineering

With our technical expertise, skill and knowledge of the materials we are able to create a virtual model from a solid (if available) thus obtaining the virtual model necessary for printing.

Co – engineering

We can support our customers throughout the design phase, giving advice and suggestions for making the model to print.

Finish

After the objects have been removed from the build unit they undergo a sandblasting process. At this point by using a blast of extra fine sand all the surplus material that would jeopardise printing is thus removed. When this is completed the object can be coloured.

Sandblasting

Sandblasting is an integral part of the MJF printing process which gets rid of all surplus material leaving the surface of the object smooth and clean.

Coloured

The pieces printed with the MJF technology are coloured in a tank to give the printed object a permanent black colour which is not prone to wear and tear (as is the case with painting).

Painting

We can also offer painting of the objects with different types of colour but only upon specific request and after our assessment.
